Okay, round two of the SALT Monthly Contest!
We'll start with the rules, prompt and deadline and the pic to be used (Only one this time)!
Let's get started!

2. Must follow the prompt.
3. Use the same header image.

4. A/N at the end must have a link to SALT.
5. If you post, you have to help others edit. The goal is to learn both how to edit and how to write. (Be reasonable, don't spend 30+ hours editing, but, please edit at least two other fics)

-
-
Prompt:
"Don't you think you've had enough?"
-
Additional notes: Must be an actual line within the fic!
-
-
Deadline:
Next Sunday. (The tenth)
All stories will be submitted to Fanfic on Monday at 12:00 AM Blog time (That's EqD blog time, because of its ease of use) Let's all try to post within a few minutes of that timeframe.
-
-
Prize:
The right to gloat!
You get to improve!
Maybe a few views!
-
-
One tiny, little, added rule:
You can read other peoples work, but only after having written your own. There's no way for me to inforce this, I just don't want there to be too many fics that are very similar.
-
Everypony should get some training on how to proof and pre-read for others, while learning how to write on their own.
-
This isn't a competition of who is best, this is so that we can all improve!
-
Have fun, and post the link, the author's name and the name of the story in the comments below!
-
Links must be in G-Docs with comments on, or they won’t go up!

    1. This is the right to reply, right? Read this piece on FIMFiction.net as a matter of interest. Rather liked it. Short, sweet. Lesse:

      Pros:
      - Good balance of narrative and dialogue
      - Accurate sounding characters
      - Behaviours fit with on-show personalities
      - Entertaining
      - Not too long for the idea presented
      - Pinkie and her solution!

      Cons
      - Minor typographical errors
      - Relatively low detail (lacking scene descriptions)
      - The world had no texture
      - Nor did it have any olfactory representation
      - Rapid pace

Short stories do need to cut back on detail, and as far as I can tell this did not fail to communicate the concept, and I dare say I won't be forgetting the ending anytime soon. I call the rapid pace a con because it's possible to spend more time on detail without losing interest in the story. In fact, it helps often to give the reader a more clear picture of what is happening.

The reality is that it's your choice, because the goal is to communicate what is necessary to evoke the response you desire. In my humble opinion this story had too little detail.

In the end it was fun, and I do enjoy fun things. ^^
